Privacy
Clearoff exists so that less data about you is in circulation. So this page is short, and it says what we do, not what we are allowed to do.
1. Four things we never do
- We do not sell your data or pass it to advertising partners.
- We do not locate you. Clearoff uses no GPS location.
- We send no marketing emails. You only get messages that concern your account.
- We never print values you did not give us yourself, not even the listings we found.
2. Who is responsible

Legally, we need the first three rows to perform the contract with you. The photo is processed only with your explicit consent, because a face is a specially protected characteristic. Technical data is processed because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
4. Who data goes to
- The sources themselves. A removal request has to say whose data is to be deleted. So it contains your name and the identifier the source lists you under (e.g. your email). Nothing more. Never your address, never your photo, never identity documents. If a source demands an ID document, we advise against it and do not send it.
- Supervisory authorities, when a source does not respond and we lodge a complaint.
- Service providers who work for us and only on our instructions: Stripe (payment), our hosting provider (servers), an email service (codes and account messages), an SMS service (verification codes) and a face-search service (only if you use face search). We tell you which ones these currently are on request.
5. Where your data lives
We are a company in Türkiye (Rotu Teknoloji A.Ş., Didim). Your data is held by our hosting provider and processed by our team in Türkiye. For processing outside the EU we use the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can have a copy on request.
6. Cookies and advertising
Clearoff works without tracking cookies. We set only what the service needs: a session cookie so you stay logged in, and Stripe's cookie at checkout.
If you agree on your first visit, we additionally measure whether our advertising works, using the Meta pixel and Google Analytics. Meta and Google then learn that your browser visited our site. Without your consent this does not happen. You can withdraw consent under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
7. Your rights
At any time you can:
- see what we hold about you (in the app under "What Clearoff knows about you", or by email),
- export a copy,
- correct data,
- have everything deleted: "Close account" in Settings, one tap, no follow-up question,
- withdraw consents,
- complain to a data-protection authority. In Germany that is the authority of your federal state; the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection publishes the list.
Write to hello@rotu.ai. We reply within two working days, and within one month at the latest.
8. Security
Connections are encrypted. Data is stored encrypted on the servers. Only people who need access for their work have it, and every access is logged. Should something happen regardless, we inform you and the authority within 72 hours.
9. Age
Clearoff is for adults. We do not accept accounts from people under 18 and delete them when we learn of them.
10. Changes
If something here changes that affects you, we write to you beforehand. Older versions are available on request.
